WTA Miami Predictions & Odds: Can Swiatek Complete the Double?

Pinnacle LogoAfter a brief lull in the tennis calendar following the Australian Open, it’s now all on until October. The dust is barely settling on Iga Swiatek’s Indian Wells win, and already, players are taking to the courts of Miami. We look at the latest odds from bookmaker Pinnacle and bring you all the best WTA Miami predictions ahead of the latest WTA 1000 event.

WTA Miami Predictions

Two years ago, Iga Swiatek completed a rare feat and won both Indian Wells and the Miami Open. With half the job done already in 2024, can Swiatek grab another Sunshine Double? Read on for our WTA Miami predictions.

Winner to Come From Quarter One

It’s undeniable that Iga Swiatek is the favourite here, and the most likely woman to win in Miami. She’s in red-hot form having won the Indian Wells final for the loss of just four games, and has proven she knows the conditions here well with a win in 2022.

Rather than betting on Swiatek outright, however, for a similar return you can take the whole top quarter. This includes Swiatek, but also home star Jessica Pegula, recent quarter-finalist Emma Navarro and Dubai champion Jasmine Paolini, among others.

Coco Gauff to Win

Yes, this is a contrasting prediction to the one above. Thing is, we like to give a bit of variation with our WTA Miami predictions. Gauff has been somewhat off the boil in recent months, losing a semi-final she really should have won against Maria Sakkari in Indian Wells. That said, she still made the semi, and returning to her home training ground of Florida will do the American well. She’s paying lovely odds for a win, and we say there’s every chance she breaks through again this tournament.

Iga Swiatek is understandably a heavy favourite heading into this event. The Pole is well ahead of Aryna Sabalenka on odds of 2.63, compared to the Belarusian’s 5.57. Right there as well is Elena Rybakina on 5.56, while Coco Gauff is slightly off the pace at 8.62.

Behind these four, however, the odds drop drastically. Next best is Jessica Pegula, but bookmaker Pinnacle returns an enormous 29.95 for the American to win–not exactly likely stuff.

We say backing Swiatek’s quarter to win Miami is the best bet this week. The 22-year-old has every chance of claiming the title, but if she fails, there are some other good options in her quarter too. Those feeling a little more risky could wager on Gauff, who has a strong chance too and healthy odds.
