Los Angeles Looks to Capture First Super Bowl Since 1999

Bill Belichick & Sean McVay

32 teams entered the season but only two remain. Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots will battle it out in Super Bowl 53.

17 years ago, the Rams (then St.Louis) squared off against the Patriots in Super Bowl 36. The Rams were the favorites, but it would be Bill Belichick and Tom Brady walking away victorious. The Rams have a chance to avenge that loss, and it could be a storybook ending for Los Angeles.

Sean McVay will become the youngest head coach to coach in a Super Bowl. McVay has been dubbed a football genius, but his wits will be tested against one of the greatest minds in the history of the sport – Bill Belichick. Can McVay come up with a game plan to bring home the Lombardi trophy?

Tom Brady

The Patriots are entering their third straight Super Bowl. Last season, the Pats lost to the Eagles. When the opening kickoff happens, New England will have officially played in four of the last five Super Bowls.

The Rams’ last Super Bowl appearance came in 2001, but their last victory came in 1999. Fans have been longing for a return to the dance.

Todd Gurley

It will surely be a battle of two great teams. On one side, you have the likes of Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, and Sony Michel, while the Rams come stacked with Jared Goff, Robert Woods, Brandin Cooks and Todd Gurley. Which team will prevail?

Tom Brady already mentioned that this wouldn’t be his final game, but it could be the final time Brady and Belichick enter the Super Bowl together.
