For a team that has some of the best young studs in the game like Fernando Tatis Jr. and veterans like Mike Clevenger, Manny Machado and Will Meyers, the Padres were missing a few pieces to make them elite.

Thankfully, the front office changed that with their recent additions to the squad.

San Diego added ace pitchers Blake Snell from the Tampa Bay Rays and Yu Darvish from the Chicago Cubs. The two transactions helped San Diego become a World Series contender overnight, and bookmakers agree.

The Padres are listed at +600 to win the 2021 World Series. Owning the same odds as the New York Yankees, only the Los Angeles Dodgers’ +450 has better odds.

Rumors are that the Padres aren’t done finalizing their roster. Reports are coming in that the Padres could be adding depth to their bullpen as well as potentially adding a bat on the bench.

No doubt, San Diego put themselves on the map with their recent moves. Do you think San Diego can win their first World Series in 2021?
