Both teams are in top form ahead of the clash, with Brooklyn having won eight of their last nine games and Golden State having suffered just two defeats all season. Steve Kerr has completely turned his team around after the Warriors ended up missing the playoffs last season.

The Warriors are ranked first in defensive efficiency and Stephen Curry has returned to MVP form. He already showed signs of it late last season and has continued where he left off in May. Curry is averaging a 28-6-7 line through 13 appearances and his recent work includes a 50-point night and a 40-point night.

The Nets have taken huge steps forward in their defensive play this season and sit fifth in defensive efficiency, but it is still going to be very difficult to stop Curry, although having a duo like James Harden and Kevin Durant should give you a chance to win any game.

Durant is averaging a league-high 29.6 points per game with an incredible 58.6 percent shooting and this will, of course, be a special matchup for him after he helped the Warriors to win two NBA championships in 2017 and 2018.

Harden’s game has taken a big hit this season because of new rules that prevent him from getting fouls easily, but the Beard has settled in nicely as Durant’s sidekick, being more of a playmaker. He’s averaged 9.3 assists a night, trailing only Chris Paul (10.4).

Brooklyn seems to have a bit more firepower, but Curry has also gotten some nice help this season from the likes of Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole and Damion Lee. The hosts have more talented individuals, but Kerr’s team plays more as a unit and they will be eager to get back to winning ways after suffering a 106-102 shock loss against the Hornets on Sunday.
