Ligue 1 action will return on Friday with Monaco and Lille going head to head at the Stade Louis II. Both teams are looking for form after struggling for consistency at the start of the season.
Neither side has been prolific so far and we shouldn’t expect fireworks between the two. Bookmaker 10Bet has the odds at 3.35 for under 1.5 goals and at 1.83 for under 2.5 goals. The odds are at 10.75 for the match to finish goalless.

Monaco, who won the Ligue 1 title in 2017, were back near the top of the table last season, finishing third, but they haven’t managed to maintain the uptrend. Scoring goals has been a problem for the team all season and the recent results look particular ugly as there haven’t been any goals in three straight contests.
The Monegasques have managed 17 league goals in 13 outings and 70 percent of them (12) have come from three players. Wissam Ben Yedder leads the pack with six goals.
The French international enjoyed a hot streak with five goals in four games a few weeks back and he’s a guy who can explode any minute. Ben Yedder has scored 44 league goals in total in 75 appearances for Monaco and needs to start producing the goods again if Niko Kovac’s men want to contend for a top-three spot once more this season.
Lille have recorded 16 goals and the same amount of points. Their title defense looks all but dead and they have to worry more about actually reaching the European spots this time around.
Jocelyn Gourvennec’s team heads into Friday’s clash with only one win from the past six games across all competitions. They are winless in four in the league after enjoying a three-game winning streak.
Young Canadian international Jonathan David is enjoying a breakout campaign with eight goals, but pretty much everybody else has underperformed and it’s left Lille sitting just four points away from the relegation spots.
David has averaged a goal per game through his last seven Ligue 1 outings and with him hot, Lille know they have a scoring threat but it’s going to be very difficult to pick up wins on a regular basis if the team doesn’t improve their defensive record. With a third of the season played, Lille have recorded only one clean sheet.
Clean sheets against Monaco are also rare for Les Dogues. The last fixture between these two finished goalless, but it marks only the second time since the start of the 2016-17 season that Lille have kept Monaco off the scoreboard. They have won just one league outing in the last nine head-to-head meetings.
