Stretching the winning streak to three games won’t be easy, of course, with Chelsea also off to a perfect start and looking like the title favorite after adding Romelu Lukaku to the squad.

The Blues lacked a consistent goal scorer last season, but Lukaku has a very prolific scoring record and he’s a big presence upfront. Arsenal had a very tough time against him a week ago and the big Belgian needed only 15 minutes of action to mark his second Chelsea debut with a goal.

Chelsea’s defense also produced another quality display against the Gunners and the team now boasts 13 cleans sheets in 21 Premier League outings since Thomas Tuchel became the manager.

Tuchel has lost nine of his 15 previous clashes with Jürgen Klopp, but he’s won both of the last two meetings between the two highly-rated German managers. The results include a 1-0 victory at Anfield back in March, which marked Chelsea’s first Premier League win away to Liverpool since 2014.

Liverpool’s form completely collapsed at the start of 2021 and the defeat against Chelsea was a part of a six-game losing run at home, but Klopp’s men bounced back in style and had an impressive finish to the campaign. The Reds are unbeaten in 12 league outings ahead of Chelsea’s visit winning 10 matches during the run.

Mohamed Salah has registered six goals and four assists during Liverpool’s streak and he’s expected to lead the team to victory again. The former Chelsea man needs only two more goals to become the second-ever African player to reach 100 goals in the Premier League.

At the back, all eyes are on Virgil van Dijk who will be tasked with keeping Lukaku quiet. The Dutchman is set for his 49th Anfield appearance in the league for Liverpool and he’s yet to lose a game helping the team to 43 victories and five draws.
