Midweek action in the English Premier League will be wrapped up by a big game between Tottenham and Liverpool. The Reds head to London with the hopes of ending a miserable run of form, which has led to the champions dropping fifth in the table.
Liverpool haven’t scored in four consecutive league outings and bookmaker 10Bet has the odds at 4.15 for it to happen again.

Jürgen Klopp’s side put together a breathtaking display on Dec. 19 in a 7-0 away victory over Crystal Palace, but the team has only scored once in five league games since then. It’s all gone sour very suddenly as Mohamed Salah was riding a four-game goal-scoring streak following the Palace game and both Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino seemed to have hit form as well.
Liverpool’s Big Three hasn’t produced for a while now and even Anfield isn’t a fortress for Klopp’s men anymore after Burnley ended Liverpool’s 68-game unbeaten home run in the league last weekend. These are really worrying times at Liverpool and it won’t get any easier on Thursday against an ambitious Tottenham side.
Spurs haven’t been at their best either lately since losing back-to-back games to Liverpool and Leicester last month, but they have slowly started to gain momentum again with two wins in three league games. Both Son Heung-min and Harry Kane have returned to form in recent weeks with the latter currently enjoying his season-best three-game goal-scoring streak.
Firmino’s 90th-minute goal was the difference between these two when they last met and Liverpool can now record six consecutive top-flight wins over Spurs for the very first time. However, Klopp’s team has won only once in the past eight away outings in the league and they will meet a manager who doesn’t like to take L’s at home against reigning champions.
Jose Mourinho set his side up for a superb tactical performance in a 2-0 win against Manchester City a year ago to pick up his fourth victory in six Premier League home games against reigning champions and he has never lost such a fixture.
It would be a very sweet victory for Mourinho this time around as he’s managed to beat Klopp just twice in his career in 12 games with half of the meetings ending in losses for him.
