Juve had a really slow start to the campaign, but they have been the hottest team in the league since December and should head to San Siro filled with confidence. The team’s road record is impressive as well with only one loss and six wins from the last nine away outings.

The Old Lady lacked quality at both ends of the pitch early in the season, and manager Massimiliano Allegri was quite critical of his side, but he’s now found a very good balance in the team as Juventus collects cleans sheets regularly and scores goals at a good clip.

Allegri’s team is streaking even without Federico Chiesa in the lineup. The 24-year-old has been featured in just two of the last eight league fixtures and we won’t be seeing him for a while after he ruptured his cruciate ligament in a breathtaking 4-3 comeback win over Roma on January 9th. Juventus seems to have coped well with Chiesa’s absence, but Allegri would no doubt prefer to have him available.

With defensive stalwart Leonardo Bonucci out as well, the team has shown great character by climbing back into the Champions League race.

Milan are in the Scudetto race this season and Sunday’s fixture is going to be very important for them especially with the Rossoneri having dropped a lot of points in recent outings. Stefano Pioli has seen his side win just half of the last six league games.

Scoring goals hasn’t been a problem all season for Milan, but their defensive play has left a lot to be desired ever since Simon Kjaer dropped out of the lineup with a knee injury. With Fikayo Tomori also on the shelf, Pioli has plenty to think about regarding his options at the back.

Upfront, Rafael Leao has made the biggest impact in recent weeks. He’s returned from an injury layoff with two goals and two assists in three games. The goals seem to have dried up a bit for veteran forwards Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but the Portuguese winger has kept things clicking in attack and Allegri will need to come up with a proper plan to stop him.
