Mourinho will contest his 15th major final in club football and will be hoping to pick up a 13th win. He’s a master tactician and the one-off games seem to fit him like a glove.

Mourinho’s sides have produced a number of big performances in finals scoring 26 goals and recording eight clean sheets. It looks like it will take a pretty special performance from Feyenoord to come out on top at the Arena Kombetare.

The Dutch side has made a European final for the first time since winning the 2002 UEFA Cup. The club has won three European titles overall.

Roma are looking to win in Europe for the first time. The Giallorossi won the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1961 and the Anglo-Italian Cup in 1972 but these weren’t UEFA competitions.

Mourinho has become the first manager to reach the final of a major European competition with four different clubs and he will be very disappointed to not win on Wednesday after sneaking through a tough semifinals match-up against Leicester City.

Feyenoord beat Marseille to reach this stage and they are unbeaten in the competition ever since the group stage started, which should give the team some good confidence.

The side from Rotterdam boasts 15 Dutch championships but Feyenoord have been far from the title race in recent years, even dropping as low as fifth last season.

It was a very disappointing campaign for Feyenoord last year, but the club seems to be on its way up again following the hiring of Arne Slot.

43-year-old Slot arrived last summer and started to deliver straight away. Feyenoord eventually finished 12 points behind a title-winning Ajax team, but they were once again a top-three side in the Eredivisie and Slot has suffered just nine defeats in 53 games in charge of the team.

Only a select few have outsmarted Mourinho in a big cup final so a winning performance on Wednesday would be very special for Slot who is finishing off only his third season as manager.
