Top 4 Teams Battle It Out in Singapore for Dota 2 The International Glory!

The final slot on the prized Aegis of the Immortal is about to get filled out by one of the four teams left in contention for the biggest prize pool tournament in all of eSports at the International 2022, commonly dubbed as TI11.

※ Current Odds Date & Time: October 27th, 8:00 P.M. (EST)

bet365bet365 favors Tundra Esports to go all the way with odds of 2.25. A close second is their Western European compatriots Team Secret, who are primed to win priced at 2.40. Lower bracket survivors Team Liquid and Aster are given 8.50 and 7.50 respectively.

The odds seem fair given that both Team Secret and Tundra Esports can afford to drop one more series before being up for elimination while the other two teams are out of chances. Tundra Esports seems to be ahead of the meta. They currently have a win-loss record of 18-4 during the entire tournament run. It seems like their mid-season woes have disappeared following the start of ti11.

Chinese team Aster, managed by the Dota 2’s living legend BurNing, eliminated crowd favorites PSG.LGD, who were very dominant throughout the entire circuit and are saddled with heavy expectations to win it all. Aster managed a 2-0 win against their Chinese rivals after securing their signature midlane Lina in both games and took advantage for PSG.LGD’s bad drafting in both of their games against them.

This marks the end of PSG.LGD’s offlaner’s career in Faith.Bian who had an extremely successful career from 2014-2022. He managed to win TI6 and was a finalist during TI10. Regarded as one of the best to ever play the position 3, Faith.Bian had a very flexible play-style that is only matched by his massive hero pool.

Team Secret and Team Liquid came out of the Last Chance Qualifier to everyone’s surprise and exceeded expectations after making it to TI11’s top 4. Both teams came out of the LCQ against teams like Navi, Xtreme Gaming, and Virtus.pro who were much more favored to make it the the group stage.

Both teams proceed to own their respective groups and ended the round robin with a standing of 13-5 and securing an upper bracket berth in the process. However, Team Liquid fell early after suffering a 2-0 defeat against Aster. They had to grind from the Lower Bracket Round 2, which would only put them in 9-13th place should they lose, and were resilient in working their way back to a top 4 finish after a very intense match against South American pride Thunder Awakening. It was a very back and forth three games that was ultimately decided by a midlane throne push by Team Liquid after killing Thunder Awakening’s team who got caught without buybacks.

With so much at stake and only four teams left, the last push of The International 2022 is still as intense as ever. Will this year be Tundra Esports’ year? Or will the lone Chinese representative win it all this time around?
