Who Will Take the Season Long LIV Golf Team Championship?

bet365The LIV Golf season long team championship is here! Dustin Johnson and the Four Aces look to take the team title this weekend as well as the accompanying US$16 million first place prize to be split amongst the winners. Can anyone stop the dominant Four Aces? Online bookmaker bet365 has the odds.

※ Current Odds Date & Time: October 26th, 2:00 P.M. (EST)

The Four Aces consists of Dustin Johnson, Talor Gooch, Patrick Reed and Pat Perez. Dustin Johnson has largely carried the team throughout the year with the help of some flashes of Talor Gooch brilliance. DJ has been the top player on the LIV Tour this season taking home the individual season long title.

Perhaps to the ailment of Dustin Johnson’s back, Pat Perez has been the team’s weakest link. Week to week, only the top two scores count for the team, however, in the finale, three out of the four scores will count in the final round.

This means that for the Four Aces to win, Patrick Reed will have to step up and have a solid performance on the final day. Though he finished T2 in Bangkok, Reed hasn’t been a top tier player on the LIV Tour this season. At 2.90 to win, there frankly isn’t a whole lot of value in choosing the Four Aces to win the title considering that three scores will count on the final day.

A team to watch out for is the Fire Balls. The team consists of Sergio Garcia, Abraham Ancer, Carlos Ortiz and Eugenio Chacarra. Abraham Ancer is a ball striking machine, Sergio Garcia is a legend of the game, Carlos Ortiz can get super-hot at times, and Eugenio Chacarra proved in Bangkok that he can hang with the best in the game.

At 5.00, the Fire Balls could take the win this weekend. They have the experience of Sergio Garcia, the hot hand of Eugenio Chacarra and the steadiness of Abraham Ancer. The Fire Balls deserve some consideration for the team championship win.

Online bookmaker bet365 has Smash GC at 10.00 to win. Smash GC has last week’s winner Brooks Koepka, his brother Chase, Richard Bland and Adrian Otaehui. Brooks Koepka is coming off a win he considered to be hugely important in terms of his career trajectory. If Brooks can get some help this weekend, he may be able to pull his team to victory.

The best value on the board this weekend may have to be Cam Smith’s Punch GC. Smith is supported by Marc Leishman, Wade Ormsby and Matt Jones. Cam Smith is one of the best putters to ever touch a golf club and Marc Leishman has lately shown flashes of returning to his prior form. If Jones or Ormsby can step up this weekend, they could have a chance. At 15.00, it may be worth it to look at Punch GC.

Tune in this weekend to find out how the LIV Golf season finale plays out. Will it be DJ and the Four Aces? Or will an underdog team snatch the season ending title out of the favourite’s hands?
