With an amazing race at the US Grand Prix behind us and another masterful Max Verstappen performance, we’ve plenty to look forward to heading over to Mexico. This time around the odds on the current F1 champion, Max Verstappen, as is to be expected are priced at only 1.57. A fair amount given his outstanding form and absolute domination on the track.

What is interesting however is that for his home grand prix, Sergio Perez is now priced at only 6.00. Same as Charles Leclerc even though the Monegasque driver outperformed Checo in almost every race of the season.

The Circuit

The Mexican Grand Prix, as is customary, is driven on Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, a circuit named after the drivers Ricardo and Pedro Rodriguez. With its first ever Grand Prix held all the way back in 1963, this track has seen plenty of action throughout the years. Some of the most notable names to win at this track include Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher and Jacky Ickx to name a few.

The circuit itself is a 4.304km long track featuring 71 laps, 17 turns and 2 DRS zones. Probably its most interesting feature is that the track sits 2km above sea level, making this one of the most unique experiences in Formula 1.

What to Expect?

With both championships now sealed (Driver’s and Constructors championship), it will be interesting to see how the season unfolds. Red Bull may still want to push for more records giving Verstappen his 14th victory of the season or perhaps propelling Checo to his first ever home Grand Prix victory. In any case, Red Bull can relax and enjoy the show now that they claimed both titles in a matter of days.

A team well worth watching is Mercedes. With recent upgrades from Austin clearly working their magic, it seems just a matter of time before they challenge for the top spot on the podium giving Ferrari a run for their money. With Lewis Hamilton performing extraordinarily well, Ferrari may still lose their 2nd place finish in the Constructors championship to Mercedes.

Lastly, the battle between Alpine and McLaren seems to be nearing its end. With an unlucky finish at Austin, Alpine is on the back foot and it is not looking likely they can catch McLaren in their battle for the 4th spot finish. On the other hand, this is Formula 1, and anything can happen. So let’s just sit and watch as the action unfolds!
