Manchester United Hopes to Continue Home Success Against Nottingham Forest

Manchester United return to Premier League action on Tuesday versus Nottingham Forest, looking for a fifth win in six home league outings.

ウィリアムヒルUnited are also hoping to post a fourth consecutive clean sheet on home turf and bookmaker William Hill has the odds at 1.73 for both teams not to score in the contest. Meanwhile, the odds are at 2.00 for both sides to be on target in the contest.

The campaign started with a shocker for United as Brighton & Hove Albion earned their first-ever victory at Old Trafford, but Erik ten Hag’s men have since then played with great confidence at home and the current run of results includes wins over Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham.

The away form still needs sorting out by ten Hag, but if the Red Devils can maintain their momentum at home, there should be a very good chance of a top-four finish. Matches against the sides near the bottom of the table are clearly must-win spots for the 13-time Premier League champions.

Marcus Rashford has particularly enjoyed the recent home outings. Last week’s 2-0 win over Burnley in the League Cup was the fourth straight home game for Rashford in which he scored. Following a five-goal campaign, he is already on nine goals for this season and with Cristiano Ronaldo out of town now, Rashford can once again feel like he’s the main man in the United attack.

United are big favorites in the match-up on Tuesday but things might not be as straightforward as they seem. Forest are stuck in the bottom three with only 13 points on the board, but the team showed great improvement in form prior to the World Cup break and that should give them confidence ahead of Tuesday.

Forest are on a run of two wins and one defeat in five games. Eight of their 13 points have come during the stretch so Steve Cooper’s men were clearly playing their best football of the campaign before the season went on a pause.

Can Cooper now also start turning the tide in away outings? Forest have massively struggled on their travels so far, picking up only two points in seven games and scoring a league-low one goal. The defensive efforts haven’t been good either with Forest tied for the second-most road goals conceded this season (19).
