Brighton & Hove Albion are having a historically successful season and can now do the double over Manchester United in the Premier League on Thursday.
Bookmaker William Hill has the odds at 3.30 for Brighton to win with both teams scoring in the contest. The odds are at 5.50 for an away victory with both teams scoring and at 4.50 for a score draw between the two teams.
※ Current Odds Date & Time: May 3rd, 6:30 P.M. (EST)
Brighton won the first meeting of the season 2-1 at Old Trafford, and after dominating 4-0 at home last May, the Seagulls now have a chance to register three consecutive league wins over United for the first time ever.
A positive result on Thursday would also help Brighton to set a new club record for most points in the English top flight. They only need a draw to surpass a record 52-point haul from the 1981-82 campaign.
When it comes to meetings with United, it’s usually Pascal Gross who leads the charge for Brighton. The German playmaker scored both of his side’s goals at the start of the season at Old Trafford and currently boasts six Premier League goals in total against the Red Devils since the beginning of the 2017-18 campaign – only Mohamed Salah has more.
Gross has also just scored a brace in a huge 5-0 victory over the Wolves so he’ll be heading into Thursday’s big fixture with some really good momentum.
There have been a couple of defeats for Brighton lately, but with the team sitting inside the top eight and having a very realistic shot of making it into Europe for next season, the mood around the place should be very confident and determined.
United should be in good spirits as well after cooling off a hot Aston Villa team over the weekend. David de Gea registered a league-leading 15th clean sheet of the season and Bruno Fernandes scored the game-winner in a 1-0 triumph.
Following a great start to life in England, Fernandes had a tough spell in the Premier League, but it’s been a good bounce-back season for him and he should play a key role again for United at Amex Stadium.
Can Fernandes & Co. improve their shocking record at Amex? Brighton has won three of their five home matches in the Premier League against United. Roberto De Zerbi’s team also has a great recent home record with seven wins posted from their last nine Amex outings.
