Order of Australia Wants to Go One Better in the Prix du Moulin de Longchamp

With the unbeatable Baaeed not defending his crown, last year’s runner-up Order Of Australia will be aiming to go one better this time in the Prix du Moulin de Longchamp.

888sport LogoA 7.50 chance with 888sport, his form has not been the strongest since that second place with only one win – in the Romanised Minstrel Stakes at The Curragh – from six runs and was last in the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood in July, which was also won by his nemesis Baaeed.

Current Odds Date & Time: September 2nd, 9:00 AM (BST)

Ryan Moore and Aidan O’Brien will be aiming to repeat the success they had in this race in 2019 with Circus Maximus, but it will likely take a first win on good to soft ground for the 5-year-old to do so.

The winner of the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket and the St James Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot, favourite Coroebus, at 3.25, is also hunting for a first success outside Britain.

Charlie Appleby’s 3-year-old will have to drastically improve on his only run in France thus far, finishing fifth in the Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville three weeks ago, by far the worst run of his short career.

William Buick remains in the saddle as the Godolphin stable attempts a fifth victory in this race.

Another 3-year-old, God Blessing, comes into this race unbeaten but with none of those three wins in Group races. This will be a huge step up. Ioritz Mendizabal takes the ride on the 10.00 shot.

From the least experienced, to the most. 7-year-old The Revenant is gearing up for the twentieth run under trainer Francis-Henri Graffard and is currently 3.50.

Two of his twelve career wins have come in his last two outings, so clearly he is in form, and they were both in France – at Saint-Cloud. The second of which was the Group 3 Prix Edmond Blanc in April, so Graffard has kept him well-rested for this occasion.

Christophe Soumillon is on board as he was for the Saint-Cloud successes.

Dreamloper made a good start to the summer with wins in the Dahlia Stakes at Newmarket and the Prix d’Ispahan at Longchamp. At 12.00, she will be hoping a return to the Parisian track will return her to winning ways after poor results in Group 1s at The Curragh and Goodwood.

Mangoustine won a fillies Group 1 here in May but has had two poor runs since. Rocchigiani won a Group 3 on his last outing while the other three entrants are all struggling for form although there are high hopes for Lusail at 7.50.
