Europe RMR Groups are Set! Who Will Make it to Paris?

Group A has a lot of new faces trying to secure their slot for the upcoming BLAST Major in Paris, France. The major will be the last to be played in CS:GO as the game will be shifting to a new engine and will be rebranded to Counter Strike 2.

bet365One of the stronger tier 2 Counter Strike teams in the scene 1WIN has been given 1.72 odds by bet365 to qualify and 2.30 odds to not qualify. Meanwhile, top dogs like Navi have been given just 1.10 to qualify and a whopping 6.50 to not qualify.

1WIN has been grinding it out in the tier 2 scene. They have brought in former major winner Boombl4 who elevated the team to new heights since his arrival. However, it is the young AWPer prodigy Deko who has been posting a 1.17 rating the past three months. The team is about to crack HLTV top 30 as well as they currently sit at #35.

1WIN has made serious additions to their roster with Nickelback and Forester coming into the team. The two of them played together on Winstrike followed by Entropiq, who had strong results in the Stockholm Major, going 2-0 and being one win away from making it to the playoffs. However, they were faced with strong competition from G2, Furia, and Vitality to end their major run at 2-3.

Qualifying for the major is no easy task however, as a team needs to win three matches to book their ticket. RMR Group A has a lot of heavy hitters with the past three major winners all stacked up in one group. Virtus.Pro, Navi, and Faze Clan will almost certainly take up three of the eight slots available. The group also has MOUZ, Fnatic, and Team OG who should be favorites to reach the challenger’s stage as well.

Virtus.Pro will finally be able to fly their flag on BLAST events after a change in ownership. Captained by Jame, the team has been playing under “Outsiders” in official matches. The defending champions will surely be hyped to go back-to-back with their roster finally flying the Virtus.Pro colors.

Meanwhile, coming off a recent ESL Pro League 17 win to finally notch the Intel Grand Slam, Faze Clan is looking to continue their dominance towards the Paris Major. Russell Van Dulken, also known as Twistzz, has become the first and only two-time winner of the Intel Grand Slam. Ropz meanwhile had a phenomenal showing and claimed the event MVP award. The obvious change in his gameplay, turning into a more aggressive rifler, has given him ways to shine within the team.

The biggest CSGO tournament is just around the corner and all teams are gunning for a slot. With a lot on the line, will 1WIN qualify?
