With 12 games played, Coritiba finds itself sitting on only four points. The team has almost the same amount of losses (8) as goals scored (9) and things clearly aren’t clicking for the side from Parana. The poor form has cost two managers their position and Thiago Kosloski is going to be the latest man to have a crack at the job Monday.

The former Chapecoense assistant manager has to find a way to get Coritiba scoring consistently and a huge improvement is also needed on defense. Only America Mineiro (29) has conceded more goals than Coritiba (26) and the team got thumped 5-1 by Gremio in the last round.

Things have also been a bit rocky for Goias as the hosts sit 17th in the table with 11 points earned from 12 matches. The results have started to improve under new manager Armando Evangelista, but there’s still a lot of work to be done to get away from the relegation battle.

Scoring woes have troubled Goias as well with the team so far netting only 10 times. Evangelista’s men couldn’t even muster a single shot on target in the last round against Bragantino. A much-improved performance will be expected by the Goias fans on home turf Monday.

Seven of Goias’ 11 points have come at home this season and the team can add to that in the 13th round of action against a side that boasts some truly shocking numbers from its travels. Coritiba have managed to record only one point away from home this season, conceding 19 goals in six outings. Additionally, dating back to last season, the Coxa has managed to avoid defeat just six times in 30 away games.

Coritiba also couldn’t beat Goias on the road in 2022, losing 1-0 through a late goal. They triumphed 3-0 in the reverse fixture, but historically, this match-up has been better suited for Goias, which has lost only one of the previous six head-to-head meetings. Coritiba’s last away victory against Goias in the Serie A came in 2015.
