The most competitive stretch of the League of Legends season is upon us, with the LCS Summer kicking off this Wednesday at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles. With three World Championship qualification spots up for grabs as well as $200,000 in prize money, the next two months will be a hotly contested display of eSports action.
Cloud9 heads into the LCS Summer 2023 in the box seat having recently won the LCS Spring title. Can they build on this momentum to defend the title they won here this time last year? Or will FlyQuest make amends for their upset loss in the playoffs of LCS Spring 2023 and gain their revenge in this series? We break down all of the latest LOL odds from bookmaker William Hill to answer these questions and offer up the best bets ahead of the LCS Summer 2023 as well.

Surprisingly, the outright betting odds from bookmaker William Hill do not have the defending champions Cloud9 as the favourites ahead of the LCS Summer starting this week. Instead, it’s rivals FlyQuest who have the slight edge, sitting on 3.00 to win the league outright compared to Cloud9’s 3.50 odds.
These two are the clear favourites with the two next best teams—100 Thieves and Golden Guardians—coming in at 5.50 and 7.00 respectively. All other teams are long-shots in the betting odds, sitting at anywhere from 11.00 for NRG Esports through to 51.00 for TSM.
With the LCS Summer 2023 lasting more than two months and consisting of 18 matches per team plus playoffs, there’s plenty of water to pass under the bridge before knowing who’s a real contender in this competition. However, looking at the current and historical form of teams, a fair idea can be developed around who might be a strong outright bet prior to the season.
It’s should come as no shock that both FlyQuest and Cloud9 are strong options to win the LCS Summer 2023. FlyQuest was the hot team in the LCS Spring 2023, topping the table with a 14-4 record. However, a shock loss to the Golden Guardians, the lowest playoff qualifiers, saw FlyQuest crash out of the competition, with No. 2 on the ladder Cloud9 going on to win the title.
As a result, Cloud9 heads into the LCS Summer as both the defending champions and winners of the most recent major competition. This combination of both current and historical form makes them tough to bet against, particularly with odds of 3.50 for the win.
