The UFC returns to its home of Las Vegas this weekend as 12 fights are lined up for Saturday night in the UFC Apex. Headlining this event will be two fearsome middleweights in Sean Strickland and Abus Magomedov, who will both be vying to come away victorious and take one step closer to a title fight of their own.
This main event will be a fascinating contest, if not only for the juxtaposition presented inside the Octagon. Strickland comes in as a seasoned veteran of the UFC, fighting in his 19th bout for this promotion. Magomedov, on the other hand, has only fought once before at this level and is still looking to make his mark in the UFC. Will it be Strickland protecting his legacy or Magomedov making his name known on Saturday night?
We answer this question and more by looking at the latest odds from bookmaker William Hill and suggest the best bets to make on the UFC this weekend.

Looking at the outright betting odds, bookmaker William Hill has given us a fair indication that this will be a close contest. Sean Strickland has his nose in front as favourite to win, but only just with odds of 1.67 compared to Abus Magomedov’s 2.20 for a victory.
The method of victory odds are equally narrow with the most likely result a Strickland decision at 3.00. Following this, Magomedov pays 3.75 for a knockout, just ahead of Strickland’s odds of 4.00 for the same result. Neither man is likely to win by submission according to the odds, with Strickland at 26.00 and Magomedov on 7.50.

Regardless of who wins this fight, it should be an entertaining watch. Both men are aggressive strikers and love to dominate the Octagon by taking the fight to their opponents. Magomedov proved this in his UFC debut where he defeated Dustin Stoltzfus in 19 seconds with a flurry of strikes. Strickland also has his fair share of aggressive, early victories.
While these two will undoubtedly go at it hammer and tongs on Saturday night, we say it will be Strickland who ultimately comes out on top. There isn’t much separating these two and despite the fact that Magomedov at his very best will give Strickland problems, the reality is that the UFC veteran has been more consistent for longer and should win this one. Strickland has fought and won against some high class opponents, and we expect he’ll find a way to get the decision victory here at 3.00.
