The Miami Dolphins are in search of their first victory of the season. Tonight, the 0-2 Dolphins take on the 1-1 Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday Night Football.
Miami were close to defeating the Buffalo Bills in week 2 but came up short. As for the Jaguars, they opened the season with a victory over the Indianapolis Colts before losing to the Tennessee Titans in week 2.

Despite losing both games to open the season, Miami’s defense isn’t terrible by any means. The Fins are ranked 18th in the NFL, allowing 26 points against per game. That is better than Seattle, Green Bay, New Orleans, and Las Vegas.
The Jaguars have had no trouble scoring points in each of their first two games. Jacksonville enters Week 3 scoring 28.5 points per game, which is ranked 10th in the NFL. Tied with the same PPG as the Chiefs and LA Rams, the Jaguars are in some elite offensive territory.
Miami QB Ryan Fitzpatrick loves to spread the ball around. In the Dolphins’ loss to the Bills, Fitzpatrick connected with nine different receivers. Jordan Howard has been solid in his first two games with Miami, giving hope to the franchise that this team will pick up their first win sooner rather than later.
Gardner Minshew has been electric for Jacksonville. He has thrown three TD’s in both games, hooking up with Keelan Cole as his favorite receiver. Cole and Minshew have worked well together, so the Dolphins will need to watch that match up on defense.
