Valencia games are rarely dull affairs and bookmaker 10Bet has the odds at 1.90 for both teams to score in the contest.

It’s been a real roller coaster ride for former Getafe boss Jose Bordalas during his first season at Mestalla Stadium. He went unbeaten in the first four league outings picking up 10 points, but a seven-game win-less run followed before he steadied the ship again and led the team to a nice unbeaten streak.
Following an entertaining 4-3 derby win over Levante, Valencia also sits on a three-game winning streak. The team has been scoring goals for fun and only a couple of sides have managed to match their scoring ability.
The prolific attack is led by Carlos Soler and Goncalo Guedes. They took care of all the goals against Levante and Guedes even registered three goal involvements for the first time in his Valencia career.
With six league goals to his name, Guedes has already set a new career record in La Liga as it seems like he has elevated his game to the next level. The 25-year-old has always been a highly-regarded player, but the end product hasn’t really been there on a consistent basis and that has changed in 2021-22. Guedes also has four assists in 18 games.
Soler had a breakthrough year last term with 11 La Liga goals and he’s well on his way to setting a new personal best this season. The Valencia born and bred midfielder leads the team with seven goals.
Espanyol sits just two points behind Valencia, but their story has been completely different over the last couple of months. Los Periquitos have won only three of their last nine league outings and it’s been two months since they were last able to register points in back-to-back games.
The drop and inconsistency in form seem to be directly related to the performance of Raul de Tomas. The 27-year-old had a fantastic start to the season and even ended up playing in a couple of games for Spain. He scored seven goals in his first 12 league appearances of the campaign but a run of just one goal in five games has followed.
