If you’re feeling like the NRL just finished a few months ago then you wouldn’t be entirely wrong. With a season lasting 31 weeks, the NRL 2024 is here already, with the last season having just wrapped up in October. We’re here to bring you all the best outright winner predictions for the 2024 NRL.
Plenty of off-season juggling has occurred in recent months, with a raft of players changing clubs or returning from overseas. Can the Penrith Panthers do the unthinkable and win their third straight title? Or will the Brisbane Broncos gain revenge for their narrow loss last year? And what about the New Zealand Warriors, who proved themselves a force to be reckoned with in 2023?
Read on for our NRL 2024 predictions based on the latest odds from bookmaker William Hill.

Looking at the outright betting odds from bookmaker William Hill, a few familiar suspects sit atop the list of favourites to win the 2024 NRL. The Penrith Panthers are in the box seat with odds of 3.75, ahead of beaten finalists the Brisbane Broncos who return 4.33. Behind these two there’s a hefty jump in the odds, with the South Sydney Rabbitohs third favourite, narrowly ahead of the Sydney Roosters on 9.00. Rounding out the top five favourites is the Melbourne Storm on 11.00.
Odds to finish in the top four see the same five teams returning between 1.36 and 2.50 to make a deep run in 2024. Other close betting options are the New Zealand Warriors at 3.75, the North Queensland Cowboys at 4.00, and both the Cronulla Sharks and Parramatta Eels at 4.50.

Betting on the NRL may seem straightforward, but the nature of these odds make NRL 2024 predictions quite challenging. Logically speaking, it feels like a coin flip between the Panthers and Broncos for who will take out the title. However, neither Penrith or Brisbane is paying enticing enough odds to back either club for a 50/50 bet. Their top four odds are even more miserly, with little return to speak of.
Instead, we recommend wagering on one of the outside shots at the title this year, so that at least a generous return is generated if your bet comes good. With odds of 19.00 to win the title and 3.75 to finish in the top four, the New Zealand Warriors are an excellent punt. They’ve strengthened their side significantly in 2024, adding Dally M. Medal winner Roger Tuivasa-Sheck to their line up among others. While traditionally mercurial, we say this is the year that the Warriors shake that stigma and produce another deep run.
