While there isn’t a championship on the line or huge money to be won, The Match has something else up for grabs that is equally as prominent: Pride.
Tomorrow, we will see another edition of The Match, made famous by Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson. While the participants have changed slightly, the goal remains the same.

Again, the Match will feature 2 v 2 action. Peyton Manning and Steph Curry team up to take on Charles Barkley and Phil Mickelson. For the uninformed, betting on a Mickelson/Barkley is a no-brainer. However, Curry and Manning can handle their own and should make for an interesting competition.For how good Mickelson is, Barkley struggles on the course which evens things out. Peyton Manning is an avid golfer and has participated in The Match before. Steph Curry is a near scratch golfer and has also played the Korn Ferry Tour’s Ellie Mae Classic on a sponsor exemption.
Mickelson has the talent to take over any course. We’ve seen it at the Masters and other notable PGA events, but his partner Barkley is one to watch out for. Even if Mickelson shoots average tomorrow, Barkley will be a tough teammate to carry.
Manning and Curry have experience as well and may not shoot up to Mickelson’s level, but their consistency will be crucial in this contest.
The real winner is charity, but Mickelson and Barkley are the underdogs despite Phil’s expertise.
Action kicks off at 3 PM EST on Friday, with Curry and Manning the favorites entering the round.
