The Vipers find themselves in the basement of the XFL East division, With only 1 touchdown scored this season, the Vipers are the lowest-scoring team in the league. The Vipers are 1 of 2 teams without a victory this season. Tampa Bay has also allowed the most touchdowns against (5) in their division.
Current Odds Date & Time: February 21st, 2:00 p.m. (EST)
Online bookmaker Pinnacle has the Roughnecks at -262 on the Money Line.
If the Vipers want any chance at defeating the Roughnecks, they will need to stop the talented duo of P.J. Walker and Cam Phillips. The pair have connected multiple times this season and are ranked highly in passing yards and receiving yards.
Even though the Vipers are struggling this season, they can take pride in their running game. DeVeon Smith and Jacques Patrick are two of the top five rushers in the league. If they can find the end zone against Houston, Tampa Bay could be deadly.
With the season just starting, the standings are compact. However, Tampa Bay is still in search of their first victory of the season. It will be tough to win games without finding the endzone and that is the Vipers’ number one concern.
As for Houston, they are the number one offensive team in the XFL. Scoring 9 touchdowns this season, they lead that category. They have allowed 6 touchdowns, however. If the Roughnecks want to be legitimate, they will need to be more disciplined on defense.
