The Golden State Warriors open the season as the favorites to win the championship once again. Per online bookmaker BetOnline, the odds are set at +575. Steph Curry should once again be an MVP candidate, and they extended Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins, which should solidify their core. Klay Thompson should improve his game compared to last season and Draymond Green will still be a force on the defensive side. The incident between him and Poole should be resolved by the time the season starts. Look for the Warriors to dominate not only the Western Conference, but the whole league with their insane shooting and defense.
The favorites to win the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics are priced at +700 finish the upcoming season as champions. They are led by Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown again this season. They added a solid role player in Blake Griffin, who can provide quality minutes off the bench. The blending of size and shooting makes them a nightmare match-up for other teams. They also boast one of the best defense in the league with Marcus Smart leading the team on that side.

The Milwaukee Bucks open as second favorites to win it all at +675. They almost made it to the Finals last season, but they lost a crushing game 7 to the Celtics. They are still favorites to win their division, but Giannis and Co. are looking for much more than that. Antetokounmpo is one of the best, if not the best, player on the planet and he is a real force on both sides of the court. He should finish in the top three for the MVP this year and lead his team into a deep playoff run. He is well surrounded by elite shooters such as Kris Middleton and Jrue Holiday, who are also great on defense.
The Brooklyn Nets open the season as the fifth favorites to win at +750. If the Nets can resolve their internal issues between Durant and the team then they should absolutely be considered one of the favorites. Durant, at 34, is still one of the best players on the planet averaging 29.9 ppg last season. They also have an incredible passer and defensive player in Ben Simmons, who will look to get his career back on track with the Nets. Lastly, Kyrie Irving is also an incredibly talented player when he puts his heart into it. Look for the Nets to avenge their playoff sweep last season at the hands of the Celtics.
Staying in the Pacific division, the Clippers are coming in at +700 to win the championship. If the Clippers can stay healthy, they have one of the best starting five, led by Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. They will certainly have a great defensive team with Leonard and George locking down top offensive players.
One surprise team that can come out of nowhere is the Memphis Grizzlies. They open the season +2500 to win the championship and are also the favorites to win the Southwest division. They were very impressive last season as Ja Morant led this young team to the playoffs. They eventually lost to the champion Warriors, but they also did not have a heathly Morant during that series. They should pick up right where they left off this time around. They are a hungry, young team with a lot of grit that plays with a lot of energy. Ja Morant should be in the MVP conversation and lead this team to the playoffs.
