United had a reasonable first half against Manchester City last Sunday, but old habits kicked in after the break and a number of players simply stopped running. The team needs to do a lot better on Saturday against the Spurs in front of their fans.

The Red Devils have dominated this match-up through the years at home, but two of Tottenham’s four Premier League victories at Old Trafford have come in the last three seasons. Spurs even won 6-1 there a season ago.

United haven’t enjoyed their recent league games at home winning just twice in five outings. They last hosted a struggling Watford side and ended up playing out a goalless draw.

Things simply aren’t clicking for the team and interim manager Ralf Rangnick needs to find the answers quickly otherwise the top-four race will be run without them.

Rangnick boasts four league wins, two draws and one loss as United boss at Old Trafford. He’s managed to tighten up the team’s defense, but United have been very wasteful in front of the goal.

With nine goals scored in their last two games, Tottenham will travel to Old Trafford feeling very confident of their chances of getting on the scoreboard, so Rangnick will definitely have to squeeze out some goals from his side to stay in the game.

Antonio Conte’s team has been very inconsistent in 2022 winning seven and losing seven of 14 matches, but they have done well in recent league fixtures and even beat Man City not long ago.

Harry Kane was the head honcho against City and a lot will depend on him again. He doesn’t have a great scoring record against United netting just four times in the match-up through the years, but the England captain has tallied three goals and two assists in his last three Premier League outings at Old Trafford.

Kane is also on the brink of making history. He has scored 93 away goals in the Premier League and needs just two more to break Wayne Rooney’s all-time record. Having scored nine goals in his last 12 league appearances, Kane is enjoying his best spell of the season and he’ll look to grab the headlines again on Saturday.
