PSG are expected to finish off the job here but their situation ahead of the game is far from ideal. Mauricio Pochettino’s men have lost two of their three games after winning the first leg against Real and they could be without Kylian Mbappe who suffered a left leg injury in training.

Mbappe scored the late winner against Real at Parc des Princes and he’s been the team’s main offensive catalyst throughout the season with 24 goals and 17 assists in 34 games across all competitions.

Pochettino has a lot of world-class players at his disposal, but Mbappe has been by far the most consistent performer and his absence would greatly boost Real’s chances of success.

The hosts will be without a key player in Casemiro who is suspended for the clash, but they have Karim Benzema back fit again and he’s done superbly in recent games.

Real have built a three-game winning streak since losing in Paris and Benzema has tallied three goals and three assists during the run. He’s now up to 27 goals and 12 assists for the whole campaign.

The veteran forward has scored in 20 of his 32 appearances across all competitions this season and the Real faithful will hope that he can produce another big performance on Wednesday.

Benzema’s form has allowed Real to dominate on home turf. They have taken just one loss at Bernabeu this season and boast 12 wins from 17 home games. Carlo Ancelotti’s side has also failed to score just three times in front of their fans this term, so PSG will know that they will likely need to score at least once to get through to the next stage.

There’s no away goal rule in the Champions League anymore, which sets the stage perfectly for a very entertaining game that should have a lot of action at both ends of the pitch. The first goal will be very important but there’s going to be a lot of scoring talent out there and it could lead to a game full of twists and turns.
