With only seven weeks until the year-end ATP Finals in Turin, the race for qualification is heating up. This week, the China Open kicks off with an unusual mid-week start date and a loaded draw feature eight of the world’s top 10 players. With five spots still up for grabs at the ATP Finals, who will advance their case for qualification this week?
Carlos Alcaraz is the top seed in Beijing, after having an uncharacteristically quiet American hard-court swing that saw the Spaniard fail to win a single title. Can he finish the year strong, and rival Novak Djokovic for the year-end No. 1 spot? Or will Holger Rune, who played brilliantly this time last year, find form just in time to seal a berth at Turin?
We break down all the latest odds from bookmaker bet365 to answer these questions and outline the best bets to make on the China Open 2023 this week.
※ Current Odds Date & Time: September 26th, 11:00 P.M. (GMT)
Top seed Carlos Alcaraz leads the betting odds at bookmaker bet365, paying 2.37 for a win in Beijing. Behind him, Daniil Medvedev sits at 4.50, ahead of Jannik Sinner on 6.00. An in-form Alexander Zverev pays 10.00, before Stefanos Tsitsipas and Andrey Rublev round out the top five betting favourites, tied on 15.00 to win the China Open 2023.
In terms of the quarters most likely to produce a winner, the top quarter with Alcaraz, Khachanov and Ruud pays 2.20, with the next best quarter being the second quarter. Rune, Sinner and Dimitrov feature here, with a return of 5.00 should one of them win.

In such a stacked draw, with several players—such as Alcaraz, Sinner and Medvedev—returning to the Tour for the first time in weeks, it’s tough to pick a winner here. We say that betting on the second quarter to produce a winner is an excellent wager. With Alcaraz being slightly out of form, it’s tough to be certain that the Spaniard will bring his best in Beijing.
Jannik Sinner, however, is playing some great tennis. Combine the Italian with an in-form Grigor Dimitrov, and the mercurial Holger Rune who hit a purple patch of form following the US Open this time last year, and this feels like an excellent wager considering the return of 5.00.
Sinner recently won the ATP Masters 1000 Toronto, and is one or two good performances away from sealing his spot at the ATP Finals. He matches up well against Carlos Alcaraz, and is our bet to win this tournament, for a slightly riskier but more lucrative wager at 6.00.
