While the designated PGA events have concluded already, the Valspar Championship will still attract come big names this Thursday with the likes of Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth and Matt Fitzpatrick all teeing off.

ウィリアムヒルWith more than $8 million on the line, can one of these big names produce a big performance to claim the title? Or will two-time defending champion Sam Burns yet again stun the PGA Tour elite and complete the three-peat at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Tampa, Florida? We look at all the latest odds with bookmaker William Hill and break down the best golf bets to make this week.

Current Odds Date & Time: March 15th, 11:00 P.M. (GMT)

Looking at the outright betting odds ahead of the Valspar Championship this Thursday, there are three clear favourites in the field. Justin Thomas leads at 11.00, while Jordan Spieth and Matt Fitzpatrick are right behind the American at 13.00 and 15.00 respectively. Defending champion Sam Burns comes in as the fourth favourite this week on odds of 19.00, while World No. 32 Justin Rose rounds out the top five betting favourites at 21.00 for the win.

World No. 10 Justin Thomas is the betting favourite in Florida for good reason. Not only is he the highest ranked of the players in the field, but he’s also in some strong form. With the exception of his performance last week, which saw the American finish T60 at the Players Championship, Thomas had racked up six consecutive top 25 finishes in a row. Two of these were top five finishes, coming fourth at the WM Phoenix Open last month and fifth at the Hero World Challenge in December 2022.

Backing Thomas to win at 11.00 is a strong bet, while the conservative money would be on the American to at least make a top five finish, a bet which returns 3.75.

Outside of Justin Thomas, it’s hard to not look at a bet on Sam Burns as well. Of the four career titles Burns has to his name, half have come here on this course. Burns has been mighty impressive in Tampa, backing up his 2021 win with a victory in 2022 as well. It’s rare that a player wins the same event three times in a row, but if it was to happen, World No. 15 Sam Burns could well pull it off this weekend.

Burns has been in mixed form recently. He has two top 10 finishes this season but also recently missed the cut at the Genesis Invitational and the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Last week, he finished T35 at the Players Championship. However, previous form hasn’t bothered Burns in the past and with the confidence of a man that has won here twice in a row, a bet on Burns to win the Valspar Championship at 19.00 would be very lucrative.
