Inter started their season with a 4-0 triumph over Genoa and they have already scored nine times in three Serie A outings. Romelu Lukaku might be gone, but Lautaro Martinez is still around and summer signing Joaquin Correa has also impressed with a couple of goals.

Edin Dzeko was signed up to be Lukaku’s replacement, but it should be Martinez who will become the team’s new main man in attack. The 24-year-old has developed very well since joining the club in 2018. He should be able to get 20-plus goals in the Serie A and a few in the Champions League as well.

During his time at Lazio, Simone Inzaghi turned Ciro Immobile into one of the most prolific forwards in Europe and as a former striker himself, the Inter manager seems like a great mentor for Martinez.

Real have some new stars emerging as well, such as Vinicius Junior and Eduardo Camavinga, but it’s been all about Karim Benzema and his spectacular form early in the year.

The French veteran scored his eighth career hat trick in Sunday’s 5-2 victory over Celta Viga and he’s now registered a whopping nine goal involvements in just four La Liga appearances this season, which is the most among all players in the top-five European leagues.

He’s not everybody’s cup of tea, but Benzema’s numbers speak for themselves. He’s closing in on 200 league goals for Real and his Sunday’s exploits made him the tenth-most prolific scorer in La Liga history.

With Benzema in the form of his life, Real have averaged 3.25 goals per game in the league and the hot offense should make them very confident of a victory at San Siro.

Last season, Los Blancos beat Inter away from home for the very first time in eight visits. Home advantage has been vitally important in the matchup through the years and the head-to-head record is very tight with Real having won eight of the previous 17 clashes and Inter notching seven victories.
