Sean Dyche made a winning start as Everton boss against Arsenal and will now get a chance to impress further by beating another Big Six side in Liverpool Monday night at Anfield.
Dyche will likely look to shut the shop again and play a very tight game with only a few scoring chances. Bookmaker William Hill has the odds at 2.05 for under 2.5 goals in the game and at 4.00 for under 1.5 goals.

Everton catch Liverpool at a great time as the Reds have looked awful lately, losing three of their last four league matches. The team has struggled to defend well all season and now even the goals have dried up.
A five-game run without a league win would match Liverpool’s longest such streak under Jürgen Klopp. The German has faced some very frustrating times throughout the campaign and a derby victory would definitely lift the spirits around Anfield.
Liverpool have rarely lost at home to Everton, winning 12 and drawing nine of the last 22 Merseyside derbies at Anfield. They have had a lot of success in the fixture and it’s given Klopp a chance to match Rafa Benitez’ club record with an eighth Premier League win in the Merseyside derby.
Meanwhile, Dyche has a chance to become the fourth Everton manager to win his first two Premier League games in charge of the team. Joe Royle holds the record with a three-game run and David Moyes and Carlo Ancelotti also started their stint at the club with back-to-back league wins.
We can expect to see a very disciplined and hard-working effort from Everton and Liverpool will need to match their intensity. The Reds definitely have a lot more quality in the squad, and there’s some help on the way as well with the potential return of Diogo Jota, but Dyche has made things difficult for Liverpool on many occasions in the Premier League and Monday’s match-up could be another unpleasant experience for Klopp’s men.
Dyche’s Burnely famously ended Liverpool’s 68-game home unbeaten run in the Premier League in 2021. Will it be another happy visit to Anfield for him? Getting all three points Monday would be an incredible achievement as this Everton team hasn’t typically enjoyed away trips, winning only two of the last 27 road matches in the Premier League.
