After three weeks of action in California, the PGA Tour will let its hair down as it heads to Phoenix, Arizona for “The Greatest Show on Grass” over the next few days.
Golf fans will be licking their lips as the WM Phoenix Open 2023 brings an absolute clash of the titans this weekend. This year’s form player, Jon Rahm, will go up against an incredibly strong field that also sees last week’s winner and current World No. 1, Rory McIlroy, as well as defending champion and World No. 2 Scottie Scheffler vying for the title. Throw in another five Top 10 players and this should be an excellent spectacle of golf in a weekend where all other sports usually take a back seat.
We look at the WM Phoenix Open 2023 odds with bookmaker William Hill and break down all the best bets to make before the players tee off on Thursday, the 9th of February.

Looking at the outright winner odds for this tournament, bookmaker William Hill has Jon Rahm and Rory McIlroy almost dead even as the betting leaders. Rahm holds a narrow lead at the time of writing with odds of 8.00 to win, compared to McIlroy’s 9.00. Behind them the rest of the pack is close as well with defending champion Scottie Scheffler at 13.00 followed by World No. 5 Xander Schauffele at 15.00.
For most punters, the WM Phoenix Open 2023 will come down to the battle between Jon Rahm and Rory McIlroy. Rahm began the year with two wins, claiming the Sentry Tournament of Champions and American Express. Late January saw the Spaniard having a chance to complete the rare achievement of winning three events in a row—however, he couldn’t get across the line in the Farmers Insurance Open, finishing T7.
McIlroy, on the other hand, has been less active, but has also been in excellent form. The Northern Irishman has won both of the last two events he’s played in, claiming the CJ Cup in South Carolina last year and the Dubai Desert Classic in late January. McIlroy has to have the edge in this battle with his excellent play in Dubai last week. Expect the experience and calmness of McIlroy to prove the difference here with McIlroy claiming the title at 9.00.

Those who don’t fancy wagering on either of the two in-form men on the PGA Tour right now may want to consider taking a punt at the Top 5 finish odds. Defending champion Scottie Scheffler and recent Hawaii winner Colin Morikawa are both great bets here with healthy odds of 3.50 and 5.00 respectively.
