Farmers Insurance Open | Jon Rahm Seeks Rare Three-Peat in San Diego

Jon Rahm may be ranked No. 3 in the world right now, but he’s the hottest thing in golf.

The Spaniard golfer will be looking to claim a third title in a row as the PGA Tour sees another event take place in San Diego this week. Rahm will have some stiff competition at the Farmers Insurance Open if he is to achieve this rare feat in golf with three other top 10 players all teeing off tomorrow as well. While 2022 champion Luke List will seek to defend his title, Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa and Justin Thomas will all be vying for the top prize as well, alongside the likes of Tony Finaua and Will Zalatoris.

ウィリアムヒルWe look at all the best betting odds from bookmaker William Hill ahead of the first drive this Wednesday and break down what bets will be the most lucrative on the Farmers Insurance Open this week.

Looking at the betting odds from bookmaker William Hill, it’s no surprise that Jon Rahm is the heavy favourite to win here. With odds of 5.00, the 28-year-old’s odds are more than twice as good to win the Farmers Insurance Open than the next best in the betting odds, which is Xander Schaufelle at 11.00. Top 10 players Collin Morikawa and Justin Thomas are fourth favourites at 15.00 while the in-form world No. 12 Tony Finau sits at third, priced at 12.00.

It’s hard to get away from a bet on Jon Rahm here. In his past six events, Rahm has won four, including his two PGA starts this year at the Tournament of Champions and last week’s American Express. There’s no doubt that Rahm is seeing the ball well and will be motivated to win—only 18 times since 1997 has a player won three events in a row. Of those 18 times, 14 were Tiger Woods, which puts Rahm in a very elite group if he can win the Farmers Insurance Open this week.

For a bet that isn’t focused on Jon Rahm, William Hill is offering excellent top five finish odds as well.

A wager on Xander Schaufelle at 3.50 here would be a smart bet. Last week’s American Express saw Schaufelle fall just short in third place with the American playing some good golf despite his loss. This is also a course that Schaufelle has enjoyed in the past, coming runner-up in 2021. The world No. 6 may not be winning as many tournaments as he’d like this year thanks to Jon Rahm, but he is still looking strong for a top five finish here at the Farmers Insurance Open 2023.
