With the PGA Tour busy over at the Valspar Championship this week, LIV Golf will see its second event of the year get underway this Friday as well. It will be the first time this year that LIV Golf is seen in the United States with Manara, Arizona playing host to LIV Golf Tucson.

Can Crushers GC back up their win in Mexico earlier this year or will Dustin Johnson’s 4 Aces claim their first crown of the season. Looking at the outright winner odds, it’s no surprise that heavyweight name Cameron Smith is leading at William Hill. With odds of 10.00 to win the LIV Golf Tucson, Smith is ahead of his closest rival Joaquin Niemann, who is tied on 12.00 with Dustin Johnson as well. Behind these three, Paul Casey and Abraham Ancer round out the top five betting favourites with odds of 13.00 and 15.00 respectively.
It’s hard to look past Joaquin Niemann to make a deep run here at LIV Golf Tucson. The Chilean has been the epitome of consistency across the last handful of LIV events, time after time recording strong results. In fact, since leaving the PGA Tour at the end of the 2021-22 season, Niemann is yet to finish outside the top 20 from seven starts. Four of these times he has made top five finishes.
Interestingly, the 24-year-old is yet to record a win. Will this be the event where he breaks through just in time for the 2023 Masters? If he does, his win would bring a healthy 12.00 return. This is a great bet but more conservative punters may want to simply take him for another solid performance and wager on a top five finish at 3.10.

Outside of Niemann, a high odds LIV Golf Tucson bet would be to back Charles Howell to score consecutive wins. He claimed the title at the first LIV Golf event in Mexico and is 21.00 to win again here in Arizona. With a proven ability to beat the best on the LIV circuit, there’s no reason to believe Howell couldn’t back up his win in Mayakoba by putting together another winning run here.
